SEAMAN (4-2, 4-2) at TOPEKA HIGH (1-6, 1-5)
Seaman opened 2022 with a 66-44 Centennial League home romp past Hayden Tuesday night while Topeka High put together a strong second-half performance in a 56-51 league loss at Washburn Rural. Seniors Ty Henry and Mateo Hyman led the way for Seaman against Hayden, tying for game-high scoring honors with 18 points apiece. Sophomore Bryson Thrasher scored 15 points on five 3-pointers for Topeka High against Rural while junior Mason Gomez had nine points on three 3-pointers.
TOPEKA WEST (4-1, 3-1) at HAYDEN (1-4, 1-4)
Hayden is coming pff a 66-44 league loss at Seaman on Tuesday while Topeka West will be returning to action after an extra long holiday break. The Chargers were scheduled to host undefeated Junction City on Tuesday but that game was postponed due to a delay in resurfacing the gym floor at West. Junior Joe Otting led Hayden with 14 points against Seaman while senior Trent Duffey added 13 points. Senior Elijah Brooks is averaging 26.6 points for Topeka West, the Class 5A state runner-up a year ago.
LANSING (4-1, 0-1) at SHAWNEE HEIGHTS (4-1, 0-0)
Shawnee Heights is coming off a hard-earned 73-70 non-league road win at Bonner Springs Tuesday night as senior Nate Pewe poured in a career-high 32 points for the T-Birds. Senior Carter Olson added 17 points for Heights while sophomore Brennon Dodge had 12 points and junior Jeremyah Hendrick 10. Lansing, coached by former Highland Park coach Jason Jones, is coming off a 56-51 win over Schlagle.
MANHATTAN (2-4, 2-3) at HIGHLAND PARK (6-0, 5-0)
Highland Park continued its red-hot start to the 2021-2022 season with a 70-41 non-league road rout at Atchison as junior Ketraleus Aldridge scored 34 points and senior Juan'Tario Roberts added 11 points and junior Tre Richardson 10. Manhattan picked up its second victory of the season on Tuesday, taking a 59-44 win over Emporia.
ROCK CREEK (1-5) at SILVER LAKE (3-2)
Silver Lake climbed above the .500 mark on the season with a 48-40 home win over rival Rossville Tuesday night. Senior Brogan Renfro led the Eagles with a 14-point performance. After dropping its first five games of the season Rock Creek notched its first victory of the season on Tuesday in a 68-64 decision over Riley County.
ROSSVILLE (1-5) at RILEY COUNTY (1-4)
Rossville is coming off a 48-40 road loss at Silver Lake Tuesday night despite a 22-point scoring night from junior Kade Perine. The Bulldawgs will be facing a Riley County team that is coming off a tight 68-64 loss to Rock Creek.
KANSAS CITY CHRISTIAN (2-3) at CAIR PARAVEL LATIN (4-1)
After opening its season with a loss, Cair Paravel Latin has reeled off four straight wins. The senior-laden Lions have not played since ending their pre-holiday slate with a 59-48 victory over Maur Hill-Mt. Academy. The Lions will be facing a Kansas City Christian team that is coming off a 79-46 loss to Olathe Heritage Christian.
