Tuesday night's game between the Wildcats and Trojans has been postponed due to COVID-19 protocols. The Centennial League conntest has been re-scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 25.
LEAVENWORTH (3-3, 1-0) at SHAWNEE HEIGHTS (5-1, 1-0)
Shawnee Heights is coming off a big week, posting a 73-70 non-league win at Bonner Springs on Tuesday before taking a 56-35 win over Lansing Friday in the T-Birds' United Kansas Conference opener. Sophomore Jacob Malcom led Shawnee Heights with 11 points while senior Nate Pewe added nine points, senior Carter Olson and sophomore Brennon Dodge scored eight points each and senior Jarin Sanders seven. Leavenworth is coming off a 74-42 UKC win over Turner.
WASHBURN RURAL (3-3, 3-3) at MANHATTAN (2-5, 2-4)
Washburn Rural was off Friday after taking a 56-51 home Centennial League win over Topeka High on Tuesday. Junior Jack Bachelor powered Rural past Topeka High, scoring a career-high 28 points on nine of nine shooting from the field, including seven 3-pointers. Senior Quincey Kidd added 18 points and hit three 3-pointers for the Junior Blues. Manhattan is coming off a 64-31 Centennial League loss to unbeaten Highland Park.
HIGHLAND PARK (7-0, 6-0) at JUNCTION CITY (6-0, 5-0)
Highland Park continued its red-hot start to the season with a 64-31 win over Manhattan on Friday while Junction City set up the Centennial League showdown with a 65-52 win over Emporia. Senior Juan'Tario Roberts and junior Ketraleus Aldridge both scored 22 points for the Scots against Manhattan while junior Tre Richardson added 10 points.
TOPEKA WEST (5-1, 4-1) at EMPORIA (0-7, 0-6)
Topeka West opened the 2022 portion of its schedule with a 70-54 Centennial League win at Hayden on Friday while Emporia dropped a 54-52 league decision to Junction City. Senior Elijah Brooks scored 32 points for the Chargers against the Wildcats while junior Xavier Alexander added 16 points and senior Zander Putthoff 10.
SILVER LAKE (4-2, 3-1) at WABAUNSEE (5-1, 1-1)
Silver Lake took a 52-39 win over Rock Creek last Friday as junior Kamryn Kaniper scored 17 points and senior Carson Johnson added 13 points. Silver Lake will be facing a Wabaunsee team that is coming off its first loss of the season, a 68-49 loss to St. Marys.
ROCK CREEK (1-6, 1-3) at ROSSVILLE (1-5, 0-2)
Rossville is coming off a 61-52 loss to Riley County while Rock Creek fell to Silver Lake, 52-39. Kade Perine led the Bulldawgs with 18 points against Riley County while seniors Aiden Garcia and Brody Leitz added 18 and 13 points.
