KC-SOUTHEAST, MO. (2-3) at HIGHLAND PARK (0-1)
Highland Park opened its season with a 53-36 non-league home loss to Bonner Springs last Tuesday and will play another non-league contest Tuesday against Kansas City-Southeast, Mo. Sophomore Amelia Ramsey scored 16 points with a pair of 3-pointers to lead Highland Park against Bonner Springs. Southeast was scheduled to play a home game against Van Horn, Mo. Monday night.
BASEHOR-LINWOOD (3-1, 1-0) at SHAWNEE HEIGHTS (2-1, 2-1)
Shawnee Heights will put its two-game United Kansas Conference win streak on the line against Basehor-Linwood. The Bobcats opened the season with a 52-36 UKC win over Topeka West, while the T-Birds are coming off a 42-33 conference win over the Chargers last Friday. Senior Taylor Rottinghaus led Shawnee Heights with a game-high 17 points against Topeka West. Basehor-Linwood is coming off a 43-32 tournament win over Kearney, Mo. last Friday.
SHAWNEE MISSION NORTHWEST (1-1) at WASHBURN RURAL (1-2)
Tuesday's game matches the two most recent Class 6A state champions, with Washburn Rural winning in 2019 and again last season while Northwest won the state crown in 2021. Rural was off last week after posting a 1-2 record in the season-opening Hays Shootout while Shawnee Mission Northwest is coming off a 52-41 loss to Olathe North last Friday. Seniors Brooklyn DeLeye and MaRyah Lutz and junior Zoe Canfield are top returners off Rural's 2022 state title team.
TOPEKA WEST (0-3, 0-3) at LANSING (1-1, 1-1)
Topeka West is coming off a home 42-33 United Kansas Conference loss to Shawnee Heights last Friday while Lansing is coming off a 59-14 UKC win over Turner after opening the season with a 62-32 conference loss to unbeaten Seaman. Senior Jazmyn Ford led Topeka West with nine points against Shawnee Heights while senior Azaryah Duncan had seven points and freshman Imani McGlory six for the Chargers.
TOPEKA HIGH (4-1, 0-0) at MANHATTAN (2-3, 0-0)
Topeka High will put its four-game win streak on the line in Tuesday's Centennial League opener after the Trojans captured the championship in last week's Hardwood Classic at De Soto. The Trojans won the title with a 55-39 romp past tournament host De Soto. Junior Ayana Leesman led Topeka High with 14 points, while senior Kiki Smith had 12 points, 10 rebounds and four steals and junior Ladaysha Baird added 10 points. Manhattan is 2-3 after a 37-32 non-league win at Dodge City last Friday.
SEAMAN (3-0, 2-0) at PIPER (2-1, 1-1)
Seaman, No. 3-ranked in Class 5A by the Kansas Basketball Coaches Association, posted a 53-15 non-league win at Savannah, Mo. on Friday to stay unbeaten. Sophomore Anna Becker paced the Vikings with 15 points and seven steals while freshman Maddie Gragg had 12 points and junior Taylin Stallbaumer 9 points, 6 assists and five steals. Piper improved to 2-1 with a 57-27 non-league win over Kansas City-Sumner Academy last Friday.
