CIANNA GRAVES, Shawnee Heights
A junior catcher, Graves had four doubles on the day Friday as Shawnee Heights' softball team swept a 17-2, 13-3 United Kansas Conference home twinbill from Kansas City-Turner. Graves doubled in all three of her at bats in the first game and added another double in the nightcap as the T-Birds improved to 6-2 on the season. Graves also placed third in the 2025 Class 5A state wrestling tournament.
ADRIAN LEHMAN, Topeka West
Lehman, a senior distance runner, was a double individual winner in Friday's Bobcat Relays at Basehor-Linwood, winning the 1,600-meter run in 4 minutes, 24.40 seconds and the 3,200 meters in 9:56.79. Lehman also posted a third-place finish for the Chargers in the 800 meters in 2:02.10.
KEIMARA MARSHALL, Topeka High
Marshall, a junior sprinter for the Topeka High track team, continued her red-hot start to the 2025 season, posting three individual victories in Friday's Lansing Invitational. Marshall won the 100-meter dash in 12.44 seconds, the 200 in 26.09 seconds and the 400 in 62.37 at Lansing and is the Shawnee County leader in the 100 and 200.
PAYTON McHARG, Washburn University
A senior baseball standout, McHarg hit a total of four home runs in Washburn's back-to-back MIAA road wins over Emporia State Saturday and Sunday, with the Ichabods winning the series, 2-1. McHarg started off Saturday's 14-13 win with a solo homer and hit three round-trippers on the day. McHarg, a native of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, also led off Sunday's 12-5 win with a homer and went 6-12 in the series with six RBI.
RYIN MILLER, Seaman
Miller, a junior track star, remained undefeated on the 2025 season with three victories in Friday's Lansing Invitational, giving her nine golds over her first three meets. A two-time Class 5A state champ last spring, Miller won the 1,600-meter run in 4 minutes, 51.22 seconds, the 800 meters in 2:11.87 and teamed with seniors Taylie Heston, Jaida Stallbaumer and Ally Steiner to win the 4x400 relay in 4:08.36.
JENSEN SCHRICKEL, Hayden
A senior track and field standout and multi-time returning state champion, Schrickel captured a pair of victories in last Friday's Lansing Invitational. Schrickel won the long jump with a best jump of 21 feet, 6 inches and won the 400-meter dash in 48.68 seconds. Schrickel's winning time in the 400 eclipsed his winning time from the 2024 Class 3A state meet (48.73).
