A senior golf standout, Armstrong captured the individual championship in last Monday's city golf tournament at Topeka Country Club, posting a 27-hole score of 118 and winning his first city title in a playoff over Hayden's James Kuta as Washburn Rural won the team crown by a single stroke (489-490) over the Wildcats.

ERIC BUCHENAU, Cair Paravel Latin
A junior foreign exchange student from Germany, Buchenau teamed with fellow Cair Paravel junior Drew Fay to win the No. 1 doubles title in last Thursday's city tennis tournament at Kossover Tennis Center. Buchenau and Fay registered a 6-4, 7-6 (7-4 tiebreaker) win over Washburn Rural's Cale Deutscher and Dylan Willingham in the city title match, improving to 20-1 on the season.

DREW FAY, Cair Paravel Latin
Fay, a junior, teamed with fellow Cair Paravel junior Eric Buchenau to win the city title in No. 1 doubles title in last Thursday's city tennis tournament at Kossover Tennis Center. Fay and Buchenau won the city championship with a 6-4, 7-6 (7-4 tiebreaker) win over Washburn Rural's Cale Deutscher and Dylan Willingham in the city title match.

TRES LASSITER, Topeka High
A junior tennis standout, Lassiter captured the No. 1 singles championship in his first city tournament. Lassiter earned the city title with a 7-6 (8-6 tiebreaker), 6-4 win over Washburn Rural's Keegan Knudtson in the city title match, leading Topeka High to a third-place team finish, just one point out of second.
Ryin Miller
RYIN MILLER, Seaman
A junior, Miller remained undefeated individually on the 2025 season with a huge performance in Friday's Bob Camien/Claudia Welch Relays at Seaman. Miller sat meet records in the 1,600 (4:41.47) and the 800 (2:09.28) while climbing to No. 2 on Kansas' all-time list in both events. Miller also teamed with seniors Taylie Heston, Jaida Stallbaumer Ally Steiner to win the 4x400 relay in 4:04.86.
Ahsieyrhuajh Rayton
AHSIEYRHUAJH RAYTON, Topeka High
Rayton, a sophomore track and field standout, was a double winner in Friday's Bob Camien/Claudia Welch Relays at Seaman, sweeping the girls long jump and triple jump. Rayton won the long jump with a school-record leap of 18 feet, 6 inches on her final jump and won the triple jump at 38-3.25 on her only attempt.
