Juniors Ty Henry and Caden Stallbaumer led the way as Seaman posted its fourth straight victory Tuesday night at Seaman, taking a 65-50 Centennial League decision over Manhattan.

Henry scored a game-high 22 points and Stallbaumer added 16 with 4 3pointers as Seaman avenged a 15-point loss to the Indians earlier in the season while improving to 10-8 overall and 8-6 in the league.

Manhattan led 11-8 at the end of the opening quarter but Seaman rallied for a 25-20 halftime lead and outscored the Indians (8-10, 6-9) by a 40-30 margin in the second half.

Sophomore Kaeden Bonner, returning from an injury, added 11 points for Seaman.

Senior Owen Braxmeyer led Manhattan with15 points.

WASHBURN RURAL BOYS 49, JUNCTION CITY 46

Washburn Rural trailed by a point (35-34) at the end of the third quarter before riding a big fourth quarter from senior Joe Berry to a 49-46 home Centennial League win over Junction City.

Berry scored 11 points in the final quarter to finish with a game-high 21 points while senior Jack Hutchinson added 16 points, with 4 3-pointers, as the Junior Blues improved to 12-6 overall and 11-4 in the league.

Junction City (8-11, 6-10) got 16 points from Howard Johnson, while Terrance Tedder added 14.

EMPORIA BOYS 51, HAYDEN 36

Emporia took control in the first half at Hayden en route to a 51-36 Centennial League win.

The Spartans (8-11, 5-10) led 17-9 after the first quarter and 24-16 at the half before outscoring the Wildcats 27-20 the rest of the way.

Senior Charles Snyder led Emporia with 15 points.

Senior Trey Pivarnik led Hayden (4-14, 3-11) with 11 points while sophomore Joe Otting and junior Trent Duffey scored 9 points each.

DE SOTO BOYS 60, SHAWNEE HEIGHTS 55

De Soto, ranked No. 7 in Class 5A by the KBCA, fought off Shawnee Heights to take a 60-55 home United Kansas Conference decision Tuesday night.

The Wildcats (14-3, 5-2) led 14-6 after the first quarter and 30-20 at the half, but Shawnee Heights (6-8, 4-3) trimmed its deficit to 7 points by the end of the third quarter before falling short down the stretch as De Soto connected on 6 of 7 free throws in the fourth.

Senior Isiah Johnson, returning from an ankle injury, led Shawnee Heights (6-8, 4-3) with 19 points, including 5 3-pointers, while senior Harvey Davis added 17 points.

Wyatt Noll scored a game-high 21 points for De Soto.

ROYAL VALLEY BOYS 59, SILVER LAKE 46

Silver Lake (5-13) outscored Royal Valley, ranked No. 7 in Class 3A by the KBCA, by a 30-26 margin in the second half, but the Panthers had already built a commanding 33-16 halftime advantage.on the way to the 59-46 win.

Nachs Wahwassuck scored 23 points and Mason Thomas 20 as Royal Valley improved to 16-4.

Sophomore Kamryn Kaniper led Silver Lake with 13 points while senior Andrew Osterhaus added 12 points..
