Washburn Rural, which won its sixth straight team championship, and Topeka High four-time diving champ Jaxon Cowdin headline the 2025 All-City boys swimming and diving team.

The All-City team, based on performances in the city meet, includes a city-high four members of the Rural team that won its sixth straight city championship.
Earning first-team All-City honors for the Junior Blues are Thomas Appuhn, Luke Lemke, Andrew Morao-Jaspe and Castle Wallace.
Sophomore Morao-Jaspe won four gold medals in the city meet to pace Rural's title run.
Topeka High senior Jaxon Cowdin earned his fourth straight city one-meter diving title and his third straight Centennial League championship before finishing 11th in 6A.
The Trojans also put Dawson Blankenship and Will Stewart on the first team after finishing second as a team in the city meet.
Shawnee Heights is represented on the All-City team by repeat picks Truman Brede and Evan Hoobler while Kinser Barbosa, Peyton Holmes and Jeremiah Moylan earned first-team berths for Seaman and Hayden is represented by Palmer Heskett.
All-City capsules:
THOMAS APPUHN, Washburn Rural -- Appuhn, a freshman, swam on Washburn Rural's winning 200-yard medley and 400 free relays in the city meet while also finishing second in the 200 individual medley and second in the 100 backstroke. Appuhn swam on the Junior Blues' runnerup 200 medley and 400 free relay teams in the Centennial League meet and placed third in the 100 backstroke.
KINSER BARBOSA, Seaman -- A sophomore, Barbosa was the city champion in the 200-yard freestyle and as a member of the winning 200 free relay while finishing second in the 100 butterfly and 200 medley relay. Barbosa finished third in the United Kansas Conference in the 100 butterfly and the 100 breaststroke and swam on the Vikings' second-place 200 medley relay and third-place 200 free relay. Barbosa was the Class 5A 'B' final champ in the 100 butterfly.
DAWSON BLANKENSHIP, Topeka High -- Blankenship, a senior, helped Topeka High finish second as a team in the city meet, winning a city title in the 100 butterfly and finishing third in the 200 individual medley while swimming on the third-place 200 medley relay. Blankenship finished second in the 100 fly while swimming on High's runnerup 200 free relay in the Centennial League meet.
TRUMAN BREDE, Shawnee Heights -- A senior, Brede in an All-City repeater after capping his high school career with a fourth-place finish in the Class 5A 100 backstroke. Brede was the city and United Conference champ in the 100 back and he finished second in the city in the 200 freestyle and third in the 200 free in the UKC.
JAXSON COWDIN, Topeka High -- Cowdin, a senior four-time All-City pick, won his fourth straight city championship in one-meter diving for Topeka High, helping the Trojans finish second as a team, and went on to claim his third Centennial League championship. Cowdin advanced to the 6A diving finals for the fourth straight year and posted an 11th-place state finish. Cowdin helped High post second and third-place relay finishes in the city meet.
PALMER HESKETT, Hayden -- Heskett, a senior, earned his spot on the All-City first team with a strong performance in the city championships. Heskett posted a second-place finish in the city meet in the 500 freestyle and also swam on the Wildcats' second-place team in the 400 free relay.
PEYTON HOLMES, Seaman -- A senior, Holmes claimed first in the 50 freestyle and the 100 freestyle events in the city meet and was part of two Viking relay teams that placed first and second. Holmes finished second in the United Kansas Conference in the 50 and 100 freestyle and swam on Seaman's second-place 200 medley relay and third-place 200 free relay.
EVAN HOOBLER, Shawnee Heights -- Hoobler, a senior All-City repeater for the T-Birds, finished second in the city championships in the 100 breaststroke and third in the city in the 100 butterfly. Hoobler posted a second-place finish in the United Kansas Conference meet.
LUKE LEMKE Washburn Rural -- A senior All-City repeat selection, Lemke was part of Washburn Rural's 400-yard free relay team that placed second in the 6A state meet as a junior. This season, Lemke finished third in the city in the 100 freestyle and the 100 backstroke and swam on Rural's city-champion 200 medley and 400 free relays. Lemke finished second in the Centennial League in the 200 individual medley and the 100 backstroke and swam on Rural's runnerup 200 medley and 400 free relays.
ANDRES MORAO-JASPE, Washburn Rural -- Morao-Jaspe, a sophomore, is an All-City repeater after winning four gold medals in the city meet as Rural won its sixth straight city team title. Morao-Jaspe won the 200-yard individual medley and the 500 freestyle and swam on the winning 200 medley and 400 free relays. Morao-Jaspe finished second in the Centennial League in the 500 free and third in the 200 individual medley and swam on Rural's second-place 200 medley and 400 free relays.
JEREMIAH MOYLAN, Seaman -- A senior, Moylan finished third in the city meet in the 500 freestyle and the 100 breaststroke and swam on the Vikings' city-champion 200 free relay and second-place 200 medley relay. Moylan swam on Seaman's second-place 200 medley relay and third-place 200 free relay in the United Kansas Conference meet.
WILL STEWART, Topeka High -- Stewart, a senior, helped Topeka High finish second as a team in the city meet, finishing second in the 50 free and second in the 100 free while swimming on the Trojans' second-place 200 free relay and third-place 200 medley relay. Stewart swam on High's second-place 200 free relay in the Centennial League.
CASTLE WALLACE, Washburn Rural -- Wallace, a freshman, was the city champion in the 100 breaststroke and third in the 200 free and swam on Rural's winning 200 medley relay. Castle finished second in the Centennial League 100 breaststroke and swam on Rural's second-place 200 medley relay and third-place 200 free relay.
