Trent Duffey celebrated Hayden's Senior Night with a career-best 32-point game, powering the Wildcats to a 66-57 Centennial League victory over Topeka High Friday night.

Duffey was one of three players in double figures for the Wildcats, who improved to 5-13 overall and 3-11 in the league with their second win in three games on the week.

Junior Joe Otting added 16 points and junior Jake Muller 10 for Hayden, offsetting a 25-point night from Topeka High senior Matt Flenoy.

Duffey, who hit a pair of 3-pointers on the night, fouled out with 1:11 remaining and received a standing ovation from the Hayden crowd.

Topeka High (4-15, 4-11) jumped out to a 19-14 first-quarter lead, but Hayden rallied to take a 33-31 halftime advantage and was in front 50-42 at the start of the fourth quarter after Kaelin Rice hit a 3-pointer with 1:15 left in the third quarter to put the Wildcats in front by 10 points.

Hayden turned in a 50-percent shooting night from the field and also canned 17 of 24 free throw attempts while committing just six turnovers.

Germane Mays added 12 points for the Trojans.

SEAMAN BOYS 74, LANSING 47 -- Seaman continued its recent hot streak Friday night, posting its fourth straight win in a 74-47 non-league home romp past Lansing.

Seaman improved to 11-7 as six Vikings scored at least eight points.

Senior Ty Henry led Seaman with 19 points while junior Aron Davis joined him in double figures with 15 points, going 5 of 5 at the free throw line.

Dreighton Griess and Gavin Wilhelm added nine points apiece and Kaeden Bonner and Mateo Hyman eight each for the Vikings.

Seaman jumped on top of the 8-10 Lions with a 22-13 first quarter but Lansing was still within eight points at the half (35-27) before the Vikings put the game away with a 22-11 third quarter.

The Vikings closed out the game with a 17-9 fourth quarter.

SILVER LAKE BOYS 53, ROCK CREEK 48 -- Silver Lake fought off Rock Creek in a tight Mid-East League contest Friday night, posting a 53-48 road victory to improve to 7-11 on the season.

The Eagles outscored Rock Creek 10-4 in the first quarter and spent the final three quarters fighting off the Mustangs.

Silver Lake led 23-18 at the half and both teams scored 30 points after the break.

Isaac Mountain and Carson Johnson led Silver Lake with 11 points apiece while Kamryn Kaniper added 10 points.

"A great all-around team win in league,'' Silver Lake coach Johnny Roberts said in a text. "Carson was tremendoug on the board, Isaac stepped up and hit some shots along with Kam.

"Defense was there all night.''

MANHATTAN BOYS 59, WASHBURN RURAL 56 -- Friday's game was close throughout, with Manhattan pulling out a 59-56 Centennial League road win.

Washburn Rural, 8-10 overall and 7-7 in the league, led 15-11 after one quarter, but the Indians used a 19-13 second quarter to take a 30-28 lead into the locker room at halftime.

Manhattan (7-11, 6-8) pushed its advantage to 45-40 at the start of the fourth quarter and held off the Junior Blues for the three-point win.

Junior Jack Bachelor led Washburn Rural with 17 points, including three 3-pointers, while senior Quincey Kidd added 13.

Wyatt Conklin and Griffin Durst added nine points apiece for Rural.

RILEY COUNTY BOYS 53, ROSSVILLE 43 -- Riley County took a 53-43 win over Rossville Friday night.

The Bulldawgs fell to 3-16 on the season while Riley County fell to 5-13.
