Meadowlark Conference coaches took notice of Jamon Wilson's outstanding senior season, with the Highland Park star named the conference offensive and special teams player of the year while earning first-team recognition at two positions.
Wilson was a named a first-team pick at running back and kick returner in addition to his dual player of the year honors.
Senior linebacker Ricky Crawford and junior defensive back Tremaine Savage received first-team All-Meadowlark recognition for the second straight season after helping lead the Scots to a 6-3 record while junior Andres Ochoa-Perez was a first-team pick in the offensive line after receiving honorable mention as a sophomore.
Scot sophomore running back G'Honi Montgomery and senior lineman Adrian Burney were named to the All-Meadowlark second team while nine Highland Park players received all-conference honorable mention.

Senior Layla Collins, who led Washburn Rural to the league championship and a Class 6A state tournament berth, was voted the Centennial League 2024 volleyball player of the year as city schools garnered six of first-team spots.
Collins is joined on the first team by senior teammate Kate Hinck while Topeka High senior Jo'Mhara Benning also earned first-team all-league honors.
Hayden, which placed third in the Class 4A state tournament, put a league high three players on the first team -- senior Reagan McGivern and freshmen Hailey Schmidtlein and Blakely Walter.
Walter was also voted the Centennial League newcomer of the year while Washburn Rural's Kevin Bordewick and Hayden's Corrinne McGreevy were named the league co-coaches of the year.
Rounding out the first team were Manhattan's Bailey Busch and Emporia's Jade Xu.
City schools also dominated the all-league second team, with Topeka High's Campbell Dawson, Washburn Rural's Kasyn Horyna, Stella Kelly and Dayne Shriver and Hayden's Ella Foster earning second-team spots.

No. 10-ranked Washburn University men's basketball flirted with the century mark while holding Ottawa to 24 points below its season scoring average with a 97-57 Tuesday night win in its home home opener.
Sophomore Brayden Shorter led four double-figure scorers for the Ichabods with a career-high 26 points on 10 of 19 shooting, including 4 of 9 3-pointers.
"We do score the ball really well, but I feel like what sets us apart is our defense and just being able to hold teams,'' Shorter said. "Like we held them under 60 tonight and that's really good. We scored 97 points and I don't know how many I scored but I think just the defensive end is really what sets us apart.''
Senior Andrew Orr, the reigning MIAA player of the week, had 14 points with a perfect shooting night (6 of 6 from the field, 2 of 2 at the free throw line) while adding four steals.
Jacob Hanna added 13 points, followed by Michael Keegan with 12 points and a game-high nine rebounds and five steals.
Jack Bachelor had a career-high 10 assists while adding nine points.

Three Hayden senior standouts in three different sports are scheduled to sign their college letters of intent over the next three days at the school.
Girls basketball standout Brylee Meier, who helped the Wildcats finish third in the Class 3A state tournament as a junior, is scheduled to sign on Tuesday with Bellevue University.
On Wednesday Hayden tennis star Ainzley Zulueta will sign a letter of intent with Ferris State University after winning her third 4A singles state title and leading the Wildcats to their second team championship in three seasons this fall.
Wildcat volleyball standout Reagan McGivern will sign with Division I Villanova on Thursday after helping lead Hayden to a third-place finish in the 4A state tournament and earning All-State Tournament honors.

The No. 10-ranked Washburn University men's basketball team will be in Lee Arena for the first time in the 2024-25 season Tuesday as the Ichabods host Ottawa in a 7 p.m. contest.
The Ichabods are 2-0 this season after a pair of double-digit wins at the Central Regional Challenge in Kansas City, Mo., topping Sioux Falls on Friday and No. 1-ranked and defending national champion Minnesota State Saturday in an 85-68 win.
The next NABC and D2CIDA national polls will be released on Tuesday.
Senior Andrew Orr leads Washburn with a 20-point scoring average after 21 and 19-point outings in KC. Orr is also averaging seven rebounds a game while shooting 64 percent from the field and 87.5 from the free throw line.
Former Washburn Rural star Jack Bachelor is averaging 14 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists for the Ichabods and is shooting 88.9 percent from the free throw line.
Five WU players are averaging in double figures in the early going and seven are averaging at least 7 points a game.
