The Vikings ended both games early by run rule, taking a 17-0 win in a three-inning first game and a 14-0 five-inning decision in the nightcap.

Seaman senior Kaiden Griffin drew the first-game start for the Vikings and went the distance to pick up the pitching win.

The Vikings took a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning in the first game and scored 13 runs in a huge second-inning to take command at 15-0 before adding their final two runs in the third.

The game ended due to the Vikings' 15-run spread through three innings.

Senior Holden Finley went three innings in the second game to earn the pitching win.

The Chargers and Vikings were tied 0-0 after the first inning in the nightcap but Seaman took control with two runs in the second, four in the third and three in the fourth to open up a commanding 9-0 advantage.

Seaman won by way of the 10-run spread rule through five innings.

Topeka West fell to 0-4 on the season, with all four losses coming against teams that went to state last season. The Chargers dropped a non-league twinbill to 6A state qualifier Topeka High earlier in the week.
