Two-time senior player of the year Ja'Corey Robinson headlines the 2025 TopSports.news All-Shawnee County boys basketball team.

Robinson was a repeat pick as the Shawnee County player of the year after leading the Scots to a 24-1 record and a second-place finish in the Class 5A state tournament, the Scots' third straight top-three state finish.
Robinson and senior teammate Mikey Williams are two of the five All-Shawnee County Top 10 repeat picks along with Shawnee Heights senior Jaret Sanchez, Seaman junior KaeVon Bonner and Rossville junior Jack Donovan.
Shawnee Heights senior Deacon Pomeroy, Washburn Rural senior Amare Jones and Silver Lake junior Dayne Johnson all moved up to Top 10 after being named to the Second 10 in 2024 while Hayden senior James Kuta and Washburn Rural junior Simon Rowley round out the all-county team.

Rowley was also named the county newcomer of the year after helping 18-5 Washburn Rural win the Centennial League championship and advance to the Class 6A state tournament.

Highland Park's Mike Williams was named the county coach of the year for the third straight season, leading the Scots to a 71-4 record over the past three years.
All-Shawnee County capsules:
KAEVON BONNER, Seaman -- Bonner, a 6-3 junior, is an All-Shawnee County and All-United Kansas Conference first-team repeat pick after being named the Shawnee County co-newcomer of the year and receiving honorable mention as a freshman. Bonner averaged 19 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 2.9 steals this past season for the 13-8 Vikings while hitting 49 3-pointers and shooting 77 percent from the free throw line.
JACK DONOVAN, Rossville -- A 5-11 junior, Donovan makes the All-Shawnee County Top 10 for the second straight season after being named the co-newcomer of the year and receiving honorable mention as a freshman. Donovan helped lead the Bulldawgs to a 16-8 record and a Class 2A state tournament berth this past season. Donovan, a first-team All-Big East League pick, is also a standout in football and golf for the Bulldawgs.
DAYNE JOHNSON, Silver Lake -- Johnson, a 6-2 junior, helped lead the Eagles to a 20-6 record and a third-place finish in the Class 3A state tournament. A first-team All-Big East League selection, Johnson moves up to the TSN All-Shawnee County Top 10 after being a Second 10 pick last season. Johnson was also an All-Shawnee County Top 22 pick in football last fall for the Eagles.
AMARE JONES, Washburn Rural -- Jones, a 6-1 senior, moves up to the All-Shawnee County Top 10 from the second team after helping lead the Junior Blues to an 18-5 record, the Centennial League championship and a Class 6A state tournament berth. Jones was named the Centennial League player of the year after Rural went 10-0 in the league race, averaging 11.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.3 steals while shooting 58 percent from the field.
JAMES KUTA, Hayden -- Kuta, a 6-4 senior, helped lead the Wildcats to a breakout 13-9 season and a five-win improvement in 2024-2025 en route to earning All-Centennial League first-team recognition. Kuta averaged 10.1 points, 7.7 rebounds and 1.6 steals on the season while shooting 68 percent on two-point field goal attempts. Kuta was also an All-Shawnee County first-team pick in golf as a junior.
DEACON POMEROY, Shawnee Heights -- A 6-5 senior, Pomeroy moves up to the All-Shawnee County Top 10 after earning Second 10 recognition as a junior. Pomeroy helped lead Shawnee Heights to a second straight Class 5A state tournament berth, averaging 13.6 points, a city-high 8.5 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.8 steals while shooting 60 percent on two-point attempts and 53 percent from 3-point range with 38 makes. Pomeroy was a first-team All-UKC honoree and the 5A player of the year in baseball.
Ja'Corey Robinson, Highland Park
JA'COREY ROBINSON, Highland Park -- Robinson, a 6-6 senior, was named the player of the year in Shawnee County and the Meadowlark Conference for the second straight season after leading 24-1 Highland Park to a runnerup state finish in Class 5A. Robinson averaged 20.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 3.5 steals while shooting 73 percent on two-point field goal attempts and hitting 22 3-pointers.
SIMON ROWLEY, Washburn Rural -- A 6-foot junior, Rowley was named the Shawnee County and Centennial League newcomer of the year this past season while also earning all-county Top 10 and all-league first-team recognition after helping lead the Junior Blues to an 18-5 record, the Centennial League championship and a Class 6A state tournament berth. Rowley averaged 13.8 points and 4.6 rebounds while shooting 56 percent on two-point field goal attempts and 77 percent from the free throw line.
Jaret Sanchez, Shawnee Heights
JARET SANCHEZ, Shawnee Heights -- Sanchez, a 6-6 senior, is a Top 10 All-Shawnee County repeat selection after helping lead Shawnee Heights to a Class 5A state tournament berth for the second straight season. Named the United Kansas Conference co-player of the year, Sanchez averaged a city-high 22.3 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.6 steals per game for the 19-4 T-Birds while connecting on 54 3-pointers. Sanchez is a two-time All-UKC first-team pick.
MIKEY WILLIAMS, Highland Park -- Williams, a 6-3 senior, is a two-time all-county first-team pick for the 24-1 Scots, who finished second in Class 5A. Williams also recevied All-Meadowlark Conference first-team recognition the past two seasons. As a senior Williams averaged 18.1 points, 5.7 rebounds. 4.2 assists and 2.4 steals while shooting 63 percent on two-point field goal attempts and connecting on 55 3-pointers.
