Highland Park sophomore standout Pearmella Carter has been named the Meadowlark Conference girls player of the year for the second straight season after leading the Scots to the conference championship.

Carter was also a first-team repeat selection while senior teammate Tahtionna Broils was named to the All-Meadowlark second team.
Highland Park's DeAsia Sanders received honorable mention.
