KAI ALLEN, Silver Lake
Allen, a senior, is top-ranked in Class 3A-1A at 138 pounds in the latest Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association state rankings. Allen started the current season with an 11-1 record after posting a runner-up state finish last season at 132 pounds.
AUSTIN FAGER, Washburn Rural
Fager, a junior, is ranked No. 3 in the Class 6A state rankings at 170 pounds and is fifth in the KWCA All-Class rankings. Fager is 15-3 this season after going 24-7 and making it to state at 152 pounds last season.
BROCK FERGUSON, Shawnee Heights
Ferguson, a junior, placed third in the Class 5A state tournament at 113 pounds as a sophomore, posting a 40-5 record. Ferguson is second-ranked in 5A at 120 pounds and fourth in the all-class rankings this season, posting an 11-0 record.
DAVID HUCKSTEP, Washburn Rural
Huckstep, a senior, is off to a 15-2 start this season and is ranked No. 2 in Class 6A at 285 pounds and seventh in the All-Class rankings.Huckstep is a former state placer and posted a 28-9 record last season for the 6A runner-up Junior Blues.
LAYNE HURLA, Rossville
Hurla, a senior, is currently ranked No. 2 in Class 3A-1A at 138 pounds, just a spot behind Silver Lake’s Allen. Hurla placed fourth in the 3A-1A state tournament last season, posting a 41-10 record on the year.
TYLER LINCOLN, Shawnee Heights
A sophomore, Lincoln is currently ranked third in the KWCA 5A state rankings at 106 pounds and is 9-1 on the season. As a freshman, Lincoln advanced to the 5A state tournament at 106 and was 34-11 on the season.
BISHOP MURRAY, Washburn Rural
Murray, a senior, won his second Class 6A state championship last season, winning the 113-pound title with a 34-3 record, Murray is 13-1 this season and is ranked No. 1 in Class 6A at 120 pounds and No. 2 in the All-Class rankings.
BOWAN MURRAY, Washburn Rural
A senior, Murray is top-ranked in the KWCA Class 6A rankings and sixth in the All-Class rankings at 138 pounds this season, posting a 16-2 record thus far. Murray posted a 26-11 record as a junior and placed fourth in the state meet.
JACOB TANGPRICHA, Washburn Rural
Tangpricha, a junior, captured the Class 6A state title at 106 pounds last season, posting a 31-10 record and helping the Junior Blues finish second as a team. Tangpricha is currently ranked No. 1 in 6A and third in the All-Class rankings at 113 pounds.
CADEN WALKER, Shawnee Heights
A junior, Walker is ranked No. 1 in Class 5A and sixth in the All-Class rankings at 160 pounds by the KWCA and is 9-0 on the season. Walker placed sixth in 5A a year ago at 145 pounds and was 41-7 on the season for the United Kansas Conference-champion T-Birds.
