LaDAYSHA BAIRD, Topeka High
A 5-foot-4 senior, Baird earned TopSports.news All-Shawnee County Second 10 recognition last season after helping Topeka High post a 16-6 record. Baird averaged 7.7 points as a junior and shot 50 percent from 3-point range with 32 made treys. Baird also averaged 1.3 assists for the Trojans.
ANNA BECKER, Seaman
A 5-foot-10 junior point guard, Becker is a two-time TopSports.news All-Shawnee County Top 10 pick and was named the United Kansas Conference player of the year last season after helping lead Seaman to a 21-2 record and a Class 5A state tournament berth. Becker, who has made an oral commitment to Drake, averaged 12 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.3 steals and 3.7 assists last season.
BREEZY CANADY, Shawnee Heights
Canady, a 5-5 senior guard, is a top returner for Shawnee Heights after helping the T-Birds post a 15-7 record last season. Canady averaged 6.7 points, 2.6 assists, 2.5 rebounds and 2.3 steals as a junior for the T-Birds, earning All-Shawnee County and All-United Kansas Conference honorable mention.
ZOE CANFIELD, Washburn Rural
A 5-foot-11 senior, Canfield's junior season was cut short after nine games by an ACL injury after helping lead the Junior Blues to the Class 6A state title as a sophomore. Canfield, who has signed with Kansas, averaged 12.1 points, 3.4 rebounds, hit 18 3-pointers and shot 77.1 percent from the free throw line prior to her injury. As a sophomore Canfield earned TSN All-Shawnee County Top 10 TSN recognition.
ZOE CLARK, Topeka West
A 5-7 senior, Clark received TSN All-Shawnee County Second 10 and All-United Kansas Conference second-team honors last season for Topeka West, which posted a five-win improvement in the 2022-2023 campaign. Clark, who has played varsity basketball since her freshman year will be counted on to provide leadership for the Chargers this winter.
RYLEE DICK, Rossville
Dick had a big freshman season for the Bulldawgs, helping Rossville post a 16-7 record. Dick received TSN All-Shawnee County and All-Mid-East League honorable mention last season while averaging 12 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.8 steals. Dick led the Bulldawgs with 35 made 3-pointers on the year.
MADDIE GRAGG, Seaman
A sophomore, Gragg turned in an oustanding freshman campaign, helping lead Seaman to a 21-2 record and a trip to the Class 5A state tournament. Gragg was a first-team TSN All-Shawnee County Top 10 pick and first-team All-United Kansas Conference pick and named the county newcomer of the year after averaging 13.4 points and 5.9 rebounds while shooting 60.2 percent from the field on 2-point attempts and 75 percent from the free throw line.
KATE HINCK, Washburn Rural
Hinck, a 5-5 junior, received TSN All-Shawnee County honorable mention last season after helping the Junior Blues post an 18-6 record and a runnerup finish in the Class 6A state tournament. Hinck averaged 5.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.7 steals as a sophomore and is also a soccer and volleyball standout for Washburn Rural.
KAIBRYN KRUGER, Silver Lake
A 5-7 senior, Kruger averaged 7.3 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists last season, helping Silver Lake post a 23-3 record and a fourth-place finish in the Class 3A state tournament. A two-year starter, Kruger received TSN All-Shawnee County honorable mention as a junior.
McKINLEY KRUGER, Silver Lake
A 5-6 senior, Kruger averaged 13.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 3.2 assists last season for 23-3 Silver Lake, which finished fourth in the Class 3A state tournament. Kruger, who shot 38 percent from 3-point range, earned first-team All-Mid-East League and TSN Top 10 All-Shawnee County honors for the Eagles as a junior. Kruger is a three-year starter for Silver Lake.
KEIMARA MARSHALL, Topeka High
Marshall, a sophomore, made a big impact for the Trojans as a freshman, helping Topeka High post a 16-6 record. Marshall was named the Centennial League newcomer of the year and received TSN All-Shawnee County honorable mention. Marshall shot 80.6 percent from the free throw line and averaged 1.3 steals a year ago.
MAKENZIE McDANIEL, Silver Lake
A 6-1 senior, McDaniel helped lead Silver Lake to a 23-3 record and a fourth-place finish in the Class 3A state tournament last season, averaging 14.4 points and 9.1 rebounds. A three-year starter, McDaniel was an All-Mid-East League selection and was also a TSN All-Shawnee County Top 10 pick for the second straight season. McDaniel was named to the All-3A first team by the KBCA and will play collegiately at Emporia State.
BRYLEE MEIER, Hayden
Meier, a 6-0 junior, averaged 10 points and 6.5 rebounds as a sophomore for the 15-8 Wildcats while shooting a Shawnee County best 83.9 percent from the free throw line and hitting 26 3-pointers. Meier received Second 10 All-Shawnee County and All-Centennial League second-team honors last season after helping Hayden advance to the Class 4A state tournament.
EMMA MITCHELL, Rossville
A 5-10 senior, Mitchell earned second-team All-Mid-East League and Second 10 TSN All-Shawnee County recognition last season for the 16-7 Bulldawgs, averaging 13.8 points and 3.7 rebounds while connecting on 21 3-pointers and shooting 80.9 percent from the free throw line.
DESTINY OCHS, Washburn Rural
A 5-9 senior, Ochs saw extensive action for the Junior Blues as a junior, helping Washburn Rural posting an 18-6 record and a second-place finish in the Class 6A state tournament after a state championship in 2022. Ochs averaged 1.5 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.0 assists last season and will be counted on to provide senior leadership this winter.
KINSEY PERINE, Rossville
A senior, Perine was a TSN All-Shawnee County Top 10 and All-Mid-East League first-team selection last season and also has earned first-team all-county honors in softball and volleyball. Perine averaged 9.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 6.8 assists and 5.8 seals for the 16-7 Bulldawgs.
AMELIA RAMSEY, Highland Park
A 6-0 junior, Ramsey helped lead Highland Park to a 19-4 record and a Class 5A state tournament berth, averaging 19.8 points, 15.8 rebounds and 2.9 blocked shots while shooting 65.2 percent from 2-point range and 72 percent from the free throw line. Ramsey, who hit 17 3-pointers, received TSN All-Shawnee County Top 10 recognition last season while leading the city of Topeka in 2-point field goal percentage, rebounds and blocks and ranking second in scoring.
DeASIA SANDERS, Highland Park
A junior, Sanders played a big role as a sophomore as Highland Park posted a 19-4 record and advanced to the Class 5A state tournament. Sanders averaged 12.2 points and hit 21 3-pointers last season. Sanders also averaged 3.4 assists and 2.8 steals and earned TSN All-Shawnee County honorable mention.
LAUREN SANDSTROM, Hayden
A two-time Class 4A state doubles champion in tennis, Sandstrom helped lead the Wildcat basketball team to a 15-8 record and a 4A state tournament berth last season. A Rockhurst basketball signee, Sandstrom averaged 13 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.1 steals as a junior while earning All-Centennial League first-team and TSN All-Shawnee County Second 10 honors.
TAYLIN STALLBAUMER, Seaman
Stallbaumer, a 5-7 senior, averaged 10.4 points, 3.0 steals and 2.6 assists for the 21-2 Vikings as a junior while connecting on 37 3-pointers. Stallbaumer was a first-team All-United Kansas Conference and Second 10 TSN All-Shawnee County pick while helping the Vikings advance to the Class 5A state tournament. Stallbaumer is Seaman's career leader in made 3-pointers.
