Lexis Berndt, Silver Lake
A senior, Berndt earned second-team All-Shawnee County selection last fall, helping Silver Lake win the Mid-East League championship and posting a 28-9 overall record. Berndt will switch to libero this fall after being credited with 231 digs a year ago.
Laynee Brown, Seaman
A senior, Brown was an All-Centennial League first-team selection for the second straight season after the Vikings posted a 27-13 record and finished fourth in the 5A state tournament. Brown finished with 338 digs on the season to go with 109 assists. She also served 95 percent with 27 aces.
Zoe Canfield, Washburn Rural
Canfield, a junior, was a second-team All-Shawnee County and All-Centennial League pick as a junior after helping Rural post a 41-2 record and a fourth-place finish in the Class 6A state tournament, recording 439 assists and 53 service aces. Canfield earned All-City and all-league honors as a freshman and was named the city newcomer of the year. Canfield also helped lead Rural to the 6A state basketball title this past season.
Leah Cook, Silver Lake
A senior, Cook earned second-team All-Shawnee County recognition last season for the 28-9 Eagles, who won the Mid-East League championship. Cook was a unanimous All-Mid-East League first-team selection, registering 193 kills while being credited with 27 blocks a year ago.
Brooklyn DeLeye, Washburn Rural
DeLeye, a senior, was named the Shawnee County, Centennial League and Class 6A player of the year last season after helping lead the Junior Blues to a fourth-place finish in the 6A state tournament. A three-time all-league and All-6A State Tournament selection, DeLeye finished the season with 586 kills on .438 kill efficiency, while also contributing 26 block kills, 259 digs and a 2.56 serve receive grade. DeLeye, who has orally committed to Kentucky, had 133 serving aces. DeLeye was also a standout on Rural's 6A state championship basketball team last season.
Brinley Dyche, Rossville
A three-year starter, Dyche, the Bulldawgs' senior libero, was a unanimous All-Mid-East League first-team pick last fall. Dyche was credited with 444 digs a year ago while also registering 66 service aces. Dyche is also a standout for the Rossville softball team, which finished fourth in the Class 3A state tournament this past season.
Brooklyn Gormley, Seaman
A junior, Gormley earned second-team All-Shawnee County honors a year ago after helping Seaman post a 27-13 record and a fourh-place tournament in the Class 5A state tournament. Gormley was a top blocker for the Vikings, with 50 on the season, while also contributing 150 kills and 32 service aces.
Jada Ingram, Washburn Rural
Ingram, a junior, was an All-Centennial League first-team pick after helping the Junior Blues go 41-2 on the season with a fourth-place 6A state finish. Ingram finished the season with 198 kills on .320 kill efficiency while also contributing 54 block kills. Ingram served 93.3 percent with 52 aces. Ingram was also a standout on Rural's 6A state championship basketball team last season.
Makinsey Jones, Topeka West
A senior, Jones earned first-team All-Centennial League recognition after helping lead the Chargers to a breakthrough 27-10 season. Jones had 246 kills on the season for Topeka West while also finishing with 51 solo blocks as the Chargers put together one of the best seasons in school history.
Emily Loy, Shawnee Heights
A senior, Loy earned first-team All-United Kansas Conference honors after helping Shawnee Heights post a 17-15 record on the 2021 season. Loy registered 307 kills on 741 attempts with a .274 hitting percentage. Loy also contributed 92 digs and had a serve receive rating of 1.93.
Maegan Mills, Seaman
A sophomore, Mills was a second-team All-Shawnee County selection last season and was named the county newcomer of the year after helping the Vikings post a 27-13 record and a fourth-place finish in the Class 5A state tournament. Mills was credited with 216 kills and 34 blocks as a freshman.
Kinsey Perine, Rossville
A junior, Perine was a unanimous All-Mid-East League first-team selection after helping lead the Bulldawgs to a 30-9 record last season. Perine finished the season with 437 kills, 29 total blocks and 277 digs. Perine served 87.9 percent with 27 aces. Perine also received All-Shawnee County recognition in softball and basketball, helping the Bulldawgs to a fourth-place state finish in softball.
Taylor Ross, Silver Lake
A senior, Ross received All-Shawnee County honorable mention last season after helping Mid-East League champion Silver Lake post a 28-9 record. Ross was credited with 176 kills and 60 blocks last fall and will be counted on as a middle hitter/blocker this season.
Taylor Russell, Washburn Rural
A senior, Russell was an All-Centennial League first-team selection after helping lead Washburn Rural to a 41-2 record and a fourth-place finish in the 6A state tournament. Russell had 242 kills with .282 kill efficiency on the season and also contributed 14 block kills and 224 digs. Russell served 93.4 percent with 54 aces.
Taylin Stallbaumer, Seaman
Stallbaumer, a junior, was an All-Centennial League first-team pick after helping the Vikings post a 27-13 record and a fourth-place finish in the 5A state tournament. Stallbaumer finished the season with 209 kills, 23 blocks, 305 assists and 209 diggs. She served 96.5 percent with 37 aces.
