Kaitlyn Crough, Washburn Rural
A senior, Crough is a returning two-time All-City pick and a former city champion and Class 6A state medalist for the Junior Blues. Crough was the city runner-up and placed third in the Centennial League tournament last fall before an injury prevented her from competing in regional and state tournaments. Crough won the city championship and tied for 16th in the state meet as a sophomore.
Lois Deeter, Seaman
Deeter, a junior, returns for Seaman this fall after opting out of the 2020 high school season. As a freshman for the Vikings in '19, Deeter placed sixth individually in the 5A state tournament and won the Centennial League championship. Deeter earned runner-up finishes in the city tournament and 5A regional competition.
McKenna Merrick, Washburn Rural
A senior, Merrick is a returning first-team All-City selection for the Junior Blues. Merrick tied for third and finished fourth in a scorecard playoff in last year's city meet and tied for 12th place in the Centennial League tournament. Merrick missed regional and state competition in 2020 due to an injury.
Aliyah North, Washburn Rural
North appears poised to have a breakout senior year for Washburn Rural after getting the 2021 season off to great start in Monday's season-opening Olathe West Invitational. North tied for fifth individually with a 78 as the Junior Blues won the team championship by 19 strokes.
Kate Roeder, Hayden
A senior, Roeder is being counted on to be a team leader for the Wildcats this fall after earning second-team All-City recognition last season as a sophomore. Roeder has played in two 4A state tournaments for the Wildcats, including a tie for 20th place a year ago. Roeder helped Hayden finish fifth at state as a team her freshman year.
Avery Scott, Washburn Rural
Scott, a junior, is a returning All-City first-team selection after tying for ninth place in the 2020 6A state tournament. Scott tied for seventh at regionals a year ago, tied for ninth in the Centennial League and was sixth in the city meet. Scott opened her '21 season with a tie for second in Monday's Olathe West Invitational with a 76 as Rural rolled to the team title.
