Hayden, No. 2-ranked in Class 3A, improved to 16-3 overll and wrapped up Centennial League play with a 7-3 record.

Wildcat junior Brylee Meier added 10 points in Tuesday's win while senior Avery Grunert scored eights points and senior Lauren Sandstrom, junior Norma Greco and sophomore Bella Reid all finished with seven points.

Hayden will close out its regular season on Thursday at Eudora.

Bulldawgs avenge loss with 57-50 Mid-East League win over Rock Creek

Rossville's boys closed out their regular season with a tight 57-50 Mid-East League win over Rock Creek, completing their regular season with a 14-6 overall record and an 8-2 mark in the league.

Tuesday's Rossville win avenged a 51-47 loss to Rock Creek earlier in the season.

Rossville jumped out to a 16-5 first-quarter advantage but Rock Creek answered with a 22-12 second quarter to pull within a point at the half (28-27).

Rossville led 43-38 at the start of the fourth quarter and outscored the Mustangs 14-12 over the final eight minutes to hold on for the win.

Junior Kameron Badura led the Bulldawgs with 14 points, followed by Mason Jones with 12 points, Tayson Horak with 11 and Cameron Miller with nine points.

Rossville girls cap 17-3 regular season

Rossville's girls finished off a 17-3 regular season with a 69-25 Mid-East League rout over Rock Creek Tuesday night.

The Bulldawgs, 8-2 in the league, were led by freshman Nora Burdiek with 23 points while sophomore Rylee Dick added 11 points and seniors Emma Mitchell and Katie Spielman scored 10 points apiece.

Rossville built an 18-11 first-quarter advantge and led 41-21 at halftime before the Bulldawgs outscored the Mustangs 28-4 in the second half, allowing just 2 points in both the third and fourth stanzas.

Silver Lake boys roll to 70-39 win over Royal Valley

Five players scored seven or more points as Silver Lake's boys improved to 12-7 with a 70-39 non-league win over Royal Valley Tuesday night.

Senior Spencer Johnson led the Eagles with 15 points, while J.P. Whitehead and junior Brody Deiter added 12 points apiece and senior Elijah Lopez and junior Jared Johnson scored eight apiece.

Silver Lake led 24-16 at the end of the opening quarter and led 40-24 at the half and 62-32 at the start of the fourth stanza to force a running clock the rest of the way.

The Eagles will be at home Thursday to host Wabaunsee in their regular-season finale.

Top-ranked Lady Eagles improve to 19-0

The undefeated and top-ranked (Class 3A) Silver Lake girls posted their 19th straight victory Tuesday night, romping to a 67-35 non-league decision over Royal Valley

The Eagles put the game away with a 24-6 opening quarter and led 40-15 at halftime and 62-26 at the start of the final stanza to force a running clock.

Senior Kaylee Deiter paced Silver Lake with 13 points while seniors McKinley Kruger and Makenzie McDaniel added 11 and 10 points, respectively, as seven Eagles scored six or more points.

Silver Lake will close out its regular season at home Thursday against Wabaunsee.

Hayden boys drop single-digit contest at Manhattan

Hayden's boys gave Class 6A Manhattan a battle Tuesday night, dropping a 77-70 decision to the Indians in a Centennial League road contest.

The Wildcats, who fell to 5-14 overall and 1-9 in the league, will close out their regular season Friday night at Eudora.

Topeka High girls pick up fifth victory

Topeka High's girls improved to 5-14 on the season Tuesday night with a dominating 40-15 Centennial League win at Junction City.

The Trojans improved to 2-8 in the league, with both Centennial League wins coming against the Blue Jays.

Trojans push Junction City to OT in 67-64 league loss

Topeka High mounted a strong upset bid against state-ranked Junction City before the Blue Jays prevailed 67-64 in overtime in Tuesday's Centennial League contest.

The Trojans finished the regular season 5-15 and 1-9 in the league.

No. 3-ranked Scots post 12th straight win

The third-ranked (Class 5A) Highland Park boys improved to 18-1 on the season with their 12th straight win in Tuesday's 77-29 Meadowlark Conference road rout over Kansas City-Harmon.

Highland Park, 11-0 in the conference, will close out its regular season on Friday with a Meadowlark game against KC-Washington at Topeka West.

Lady Scots pick up forfeit victory

Kansas City-Harmon forfeited Tuesday's Meadowlark Conference contest to Highland Park.

With the forfeit win Highland Park improved to 13-5 on the season.

The Scots, 8-1 in the conference, will play Kansas City-Washington on Friday night at Topeka West.
