Washburn hits the road for the first time in 2024 on Wednesday, facing No. 17-ranked Central Missouri at 5:30 p.m. in Warrensburg. 

Washburn is coming off an 84-58 home MIAA victory over Newman on Saturday, the Ichabods' third straight win.

WU is now 10-3 overall on the year and 5-2 in the MIAA while No. 17 Central Missouri is 10-3 overall and 4-3 in the MIAA after falling 79-74 in overtime to Nebraska-Kearney on Saturday. 

Senior Aubree Dewey leads the Ichabod scoring attack with a 14.1 average on 43.9 percent shooting from the floor. Dewey dishes out a team-high 5.8 assists per game and pulls down 5.8 rebounds per game from the point guard position, second most on the team. She plays 32.5 minutes per game and averages 1.8 steals.

Sophomore Yibari Nwidadah is second on the team with a 13.7 scoring average and nearly averages a double double, pulling down a team-high 9.7 rebounds. She also leads WU in shooting at 58.0 percent from the floor.

 Sophomore Aniah Wayne is averaging 10.9 points this season while also pulling down 3.4 reabounds and is shooting 37.6 percent from behind the 3-point arc, leading the Ichabods with 32 treys. 

WU is 19th in the nation in scoring margin, outscoring teams by an average of 16.1 points per game. 

The Ichabods are sixth in the nation in 3-point efficiency, shooting 37.5 percent for the year, the best mark in the MIAA. 

Washburn is second in the conference and 51st nationally in defending the 3-point line, holding opponents to 27.0 percent shooting from behind the arc. 

WU is first in the MIAA and 28th nationally shooting 21.85 free throws per game.

Central Missouri's Brooke Littrell leads the MIAA in scoring at 19.4 points per game on 46.4 percent shooting while also hitting 11 3-pointers. She is second in the conference with a 9.2 rebounding average while also dishing out 2.5 assists and averaging 1.5 steals. 

Olivia Nelson is averaging 16.4 points for the Jennies and is shooting a team-high 44.2 percent from 3-point range with 23 makes on the season. She leads the team with 4.4 assists and in steals with 2.4 per game. 

The Ichabods finish the week in Missouri, taking on Lincoln University at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
