Fresh off a win over nationally-ranked Pittsburg State, Washburn women's basketball is set to take on another ranked opponent, with the Ichabods starting a four-game road swing on Thursday against No. 19 Fort Hays State at 5:30 p.m.

Washburn's 75-62 home win over No. 25 Pittsburg State snapped a three-game Ichabod losing streak.
"We had had two losses to really great teams and then we had a quote-unquote bad loss that makes you question yourself and our players did a great job of kind of staying the course through those hiccups that happen in a season, putting their foot down and really competed well Saturday,'' Washburn coach Lora Westling said.
"I think we still have a lot of gaps where we want to play better basketball but they competed and decided that we weren't going to take it anymore.''
WU is now 11-6 overall on the year and has gone 6-5 in the MIAA. With Saturday's win Washburn has matched its win total from last season.
"We're not satisfied by meeting that mark and want to prove ourselves with what the future of this program is going to be with some of some of these chances to compete coming up,'' Westling said.
Fort Hays State is 14-3 overall and 8-3 in the MIAA after defeating Nebraska-Kearney 70-68 on the road last Saturday.
Senior Aubree Dewey leads the Ichabod scoring attack at 16.1 points per game on 46.5% shooting from the floor. Dewey dishes out a team-high 4.9 assists per game and pulls down 5.4 rebounds a start from the point guard position, second most on the team.
Sophomore Yibari Nwidadah is averaging 12.8 points and averages a double-double, pulling down a team-high 10.1 rebounds per game. She also leads WU in shooting at 54.9%.
Sophomore Aniah Wayne is also averaging in double figures, scoring 10.2 points per game while leading the Ichabods with 39 3-pointers.
Katie Wagner averages 16.4 points on 46.3% shooting from the field to lead Fort Hays State in scoring. She also connects on 48.6% of her 3-pointers and pulls down a team-high 8.2 rebounds and averages 2.4 steals per game.
Olivia Hollenbeck does a little bit of everything for the Tigers, averaging 11.1 points on a team-best 49.3% from the floor while averaging 5.9 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per contest.
The Ichabods head north to take on Nebraska-Kearney on Saturday at 2 p.m.
