Topeka High swept the team championships in Saturday's Melvin Douglas Invitational wrestling tournament at Highland Park, with the Trojan boys and girls combining to claim nine individual titles.
Topeka High won the boys title by a 198-167 margin over Gardner-Edgerton while the Trojan girls won by a 120-59 margin over Highland Park.
The Trojans got boys individual titles from sophomore Luis Morones (113), senior Raul Arriola (144), sophomore Rehabiah Williamson (150) and junior Detrick Johnson (190) while Jesus Morales (106), Jordan Stiner (138) and Nick Davis (165) finished second.
Seaman freshman Isaac Thompson (126) and Highland Park junior Adrian Burney (175) also captured individual tournament titles.
The High girls got individual championships from freshman Abigail Culbertson (105), senior Neveah Martin (115), junior Zoe Dawkins (120), sophomore Addison Pinto (125) and senior Zazie Haddou (130) while Ingrid Cabrera (100), Kiley Ehmpke (110), Olivia Tatum (120), Jena Bratton (135) and Abigail Lojewski (145) all posted runnerup finishes.
Other city girls individual champions included Highland Park junior Kimberly Rodriguez (100), senior Mercedes Garcia (145) and sophomore Makayla Cadet (190) and Topeka West's Ziona Jackson (135) and Dadriona Anderson (140).

Rural girls win title in 32-school Iowa tournament
Washburn Rural's girls rallied to win their third straight team championship in the Council Bluffs Wrestling Classic Saturday in Council Bluffs, Iowa, led by senior 170-pound individual champion TaAni Rhoten.
Rhoten went 7-0 in the tournament with six pins, five in the first period, and a bye while nine Junior Blues posted top-six finishes as Washburn Rural earned the title with 550.5 points.
Rhoten capped her championship run with a pin over Lincoln East's Carson Shank at the 1:51 mark of the final.
The Junior Blues also got third-place finishes from junior Molly Spader (105 pounds) and senior Fatima Escobar (145), fourths from senior Kristen Rezac (110), junior Maddy Blow (120) and sophomore Emme Blanco (140), fifths from sophomore Lacey Middleton (125) and senior Laiken Clark (130) and a sixth from sophomore Madi Blanco (135).
Washburn Rural's boys tied for seventh in the 43-team boys field, led by junior Easton Broxterman, who was the runnerup at 132 pounds.
Broxterman went 7-1 on the day, dropping a 3-2 decision in the championship match to Matt Bean of Glenwood. Broxterman is now 12-1 on the season.
Rural's Brody Byrne finished third at 157 pounds after a 7-1 day while junior Landen Kocher-Munoz (138) and Kristjan Marshall (150) posted fourth-place finishes.
Viking boys capture Sabetha Duals crown
Seaman's boys went 5-0 on the day to win Saturday's Sabetha Duals Tournament.
The Vikings got their toughest test of the day in a 38-37 win over host Sabetha and Seaman also defeated Nemaha Central (69-12), Silver Lake (57-21), a split squad from Washburn Rural (76-6) and Auburn (64-18).
Jayden Foster (113), Meko Ortega (120), Colin Little (144), Deyton Mentzer (190) and Hunter Reno (215) all posted perfect 5-0 records in the tournament.
Silver Lake finished fifth while Bryce Cormier (106) and Parker Gillen (138) went 5-0 on the day.*
T-Bird boys second in Manhattan Duals
Shawnee Heights' boys finished as the runnerup to host Manhattan in Saturday's Manhattan Duals, with the T-Birds going 3-2 on the day.
The T-Birds took wins over Paola (42-42 on a tiebreakre), Dodge City (42-33) and Lincoln Southwest (42-39) and lost to Manhattan (66-12) and Smith Center (48-33).
Heights 106-pounder Tristan Buce and 175-pounder Allen Baughman both posted 5-0 records in the tournament, with both wrestlers recording four wins by fall and a forfeit.
Eagles, Wildcats combine for five titles at Onaga
Silver Lake's girls and Hayden's boys and girls both competed in the Onaga Invitational on Saturday, with the Eagles and Wildcats combining to win five individual championships.
Silver Lake girls got wins from junior Karley Holmes (110), freshman Riley Mohler (115) and junior Tessa Gerber (135) while Hayden's boys got wins from freshman Caleb Menke (144) and sophomore Jude Krentz (165).
Hayden's girls got a second-place finish from senior Elaina Wolff (100) while the Silver Lake girls got runnerup finishes from junior Taylor Winingham (115), junior Ellen Doty (120), sophomore McKenna Harris (125), junior Tessa Gerber (135) and sophomore Makayla Connor (145).
Seaman girls pick up seven top-two finishes at Olathe Northwest
Seaman's girls posted seven 'A' bracket top-two finishes in Saturday's Olathe Northwest Invitational, including three individual championships.
The Vikings got wins from Ellie Ayres (100), Natalie Smith (110) and Koti Best (130) while Alley Voiers (105), Taylie Heston (120), Jenna Best (125) and Abagail Soppe (190) all finished second.
Shawnee Heights girls win five totals in Santa Fe Trail meet
Shawnee Heights' girls wrestling team turned in a solid performance in the Santa Fe Trail Invitational, netting five individual titles and posting four 'A' bracket runnerup finishes.
The T-Birds got titles from Connie Burns (105), Reece Taylor (125), Madison Freeland (135), McKenna Haltom (145) and Cianna Graves (155) while Isabel Reyes (130), Olivia Stevens (140), McKinzie Carter (170) and Theo Ofuasia (235) all finished second.
Silver Lake got second-place finishes from Karley Holmes (110) and Ellen Doty (120).
Lacock, Hurla pace Bulldawgs at Clay Center
Rossville's girls tied for third as a team in the 12-school Clay Center Invitational, with four Bulldawgs earning two-two finishes.
Senior Keera Lacock won the title at 120 pounds while three-time state champion Kendra Hurla was the champion at 125 pounds.
The Bulldawgs also got second-place finishes from freshman Madelyn Wonnell at 145 pounds and senior Hailey Horton at 155.
Rossville's boys finished 10th as a team, with senior Barrett Lietz (215) finishing second and senior Mason Broce (132) taking third.
