Alejos, a senior running back, ran for 400 yards and eight touchdowns on 27 carries in Topeka High's 70-42 Centennial League victory over Highland Park last Friday at Hummer Sports Park. Alejos scored on runs of 32, 21, 4, 6, 71, 51, 31 and 21 yards as the Trojans improved to 2-3 on the season.

CARTER BRIAN, Cair Paravel Latin

A senior quarterback, Brian completed 14 of 19 passes for 236 yards and six touchdowns as Cair Paravel improved to 5-0 with a 54-8 victory over previously-unbeaten St. Mary's Academy last Friday at Highland Park. Brian completed TD passes of 17, 54, 16, 27, 10 and 8 yards to four different receivers in the win.

MADELINE CARTER, Washburn Rural

Carter, a junior, won her second individual title of the fall in last Saturday's Seaman Invitational at Shawnee North Community Park, clocking a five-kilometer time of 19 minutes, 07.65 seconds. Carter led a 1-2-3 finish by the Junior Blues, who won the team championship by a 29-37 margin over Seaman.

KAITLYN CROUGH, Washburn Rural

A senior, Crough placed second in last Monday's Centennial League girls golf tournament with a 75, helping lead the Junior Blues to the team championship by a 43-stroke margin over Emporia. Crough followed that up with a 72 on Wednesday to tie for second in the 23-school Lawrence Invitational, leading Rural to a second-place finish with a season-low 310 team score.

TRE RICHARDSON, Highland Park

A junior, Richardson scored five touchdowns, including a pair of 70-yard kickoff returns, in Highland Park's 70-42 Centennial League loss to Topeka High last Friday. Richardson rushed for 105 yards on five carries, including an 80-yard run, and had five catches for 78 yards, including 36 and 19-yard TDs.

KORY SUTTON, Shawnee Heights

Sutton, a junior, won the boys individual title in last Saturday's Seaman Invitational cross country race at Shawnee North Community Park. Sutton posted a five-kilometer time of 16 minutes, 15.31 seconds to win by seven seconds over T-Bird teammate Jackson Esquibel.
